Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch

With all the rainy weather we've had lately, we were lucky and picked a beautiful day last week to visit the local pumpkin patch. To call this place a pumpkin patch is really an understatment because they have so many things to do there. Sydney took her first hay rack ride, saw all sorts of animals in the petting

zoo, and of course, saw more pumpkins than she'd ever seen in one place! This was the first time she's really shown any kind of an interest in animals, and it was great that they had such an assortment. They had goats, horses, chickens, ducks, cows and even a mother pig nursing the baby pigs. It was really neat to see her response to the animals. She even got to play a little bit on the playground equipment they had. We skipped the "haunted house", kids train, and the corn field maze because Sydney was ready to go. I was disappointed we didn't get to go through the maze this year, but we'll go next year.
